First Things First.
I wanted to post this brief update to, first of all, give some assurances. I realize most of you who subscribe to this blog have done so because of topics I write about. Generally, topics themed around learning, business and social media. I want to assure you that my fascination with those topics will continue into the new year. Everyday I find something new that either changes or revalidates my perception about trends in the business of learning when new developments in social media appear on the landscape.
That said, you'll likely see some off-topic posts over the next ten (10) days. I hope you'll indulge this temporary digression and remain subscribed.
What's The Deal? Where's Mel?
My lovely wife and I are taking a long overdue vacation. We're on vacation now, as a matter of fact. However, until now, we've remained within the borders of the continental United States. Beginning tomorrow, we'll be shifting to the next phase of our holiday. One that takes us offshore to points around the Western Caribbean and the Yucatan Peninsula.
I won't be blogging for the next 10 days while on holiday. But I'm also loathe to leave my blog unattended. So, in my absence, I've invited a guest blogger to post on my behalf.
But here's the deal, my guest blogger doesn't typically blog about the same topics I do. He's more of a... let's say, free spirit. Also, he's a bit sensitive. So, again, I hope you'll indulge him and be patient.
Please welcome Waldo.
Waldo is a bit off-key. He'll be tagging along with me and my wife during the second part of our holiday. He'll be blogging during that time. That frees me up to just kick back and relax.
And while he's not the kind of guy that you nor I would classify as someone impassioned with topics about social media and the business of learning, he is
someone who is passionate about blogging.
And, let's face it, he travels for free, doesn't eat much and will likely clear customs with minimal hassles.
Over the next 10 days, please touch base with Waldo. His posts promise to be short, simple and chock full of pictures. If you have questions for him, ask. Post your questions in the comments section below.
Again, thanks for subscribing and for allowing this digression while I'm on holiday. I'll see you in 10 days.
