Seth Godin's recent book, "Tribes."
Because I got something out of this book, and because the author asked that I pass it along to you if I got something out of it...
...here you go.

I think many of the points Godin makes will resonate with professionals in the fields of OD (organizational development), change management or for managers re-energizing their department for impactful change.
Got a "ropes" course or departmental event coming up? This book or the audio book would make great pre-meeting reading/listening material. It's a quick read (or a quick listen) and can set the stage for an energizing meeting.
However, I think it would be a mistake to think of it as just another book in managing change.
Godin includes case examples and anecdotes that reminded me of the old adage that, if you want it bad enough and you fight for it long enough, change eventually happens. In the details are us, the leaders of change. But only if we choose to be.
So, I'm paying it forward. The rest is up to you.
