This one's a digression from the business theme and falls squarely in the "Just for Fun" category.
I was amazed, nay, downright tickled, that the public saw wisdom in not further rewarding crappy behavior/insufferable talent this weekend by generally deciding there were better things to spend $9 on than another crappy Paris Hilton movie. (Sorry Paris fans.)
Word is, the release of "The Hottie and the Nottie," pulled in a whopping $25,000 this past weekend. (Seven percent on the "tomato meter." I've never seen the T-meter that low.) With the 111 theaters it was reportedly released to, that works out to about $225 per theater... about 25 folks per location--for the weekend! (Give or take.)
Hmmm... come to think of it, should we consider that a big loser-bomb or a raving success?
